Academic Program
St. Paul's program meets all of the requirements for an approved elementary school in the state of Iowa. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the enrollment of students and the administration of its program.
Textbooks are evaluated regularly and purchased on the basis of their compatibility with the goals of the school and their quality in presenting subject matter for instruction.
The curriculum includes instruction in Christian studies, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, music and physical education. The school offers band instruction beginning at the third grade. Computers are integrated into the program at all levels.
Small class size allows for individual attention to student needs. Special help is available in speech and reading for those who need these services. Before and after school care is available for an extra fee.
Christian Studies
All students participate in daily Bible study, worship and prayer. Spiritual growth is one of the chief objectives of the school. A weekly chapel service offers opportunity for worship. Students also memorize Bible verses, sing hymns and songs, and participate in special programs which demonstrate their growing faith.
Facilities
School facilities include classrooms, library, gym, computer lab, and an outdoor playground and field. The church sanctuary is used for chapel and special programs. Hot lunch is served daily in the school gym.
Extra Curricular Activities
All parents are members of the St. Paul's Parent Teacher League which sponsors programs for both the children and adults of the family. The PTL sponsors several fundraising activities during the year which benefit the school and keep tuition affordable for parents.
Some of the activities:
- choirs which sing for school and church worship services;
